Theresa Kain, OTR/L, CIIT,CIMI

Theresa is a Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) living in Wilmington, Delaware, with over 15 years of service to infants, children and their families. She has worked at the duPont Hospital for Children for over a decade, providing care for infants and children of all ages with special needs in acute care, rehabilitation and outpatient settings. Her vast experience at this world renowned children’s hospital has allowed her to work with medically complex infants and children, in providing them with intensive therapy, as well as educating families and other professionals on the many benefits of nurturing touch. Theresa’s other experiences include providing Occupational Therapy services in a school setting as well as providing Early Intervention services in the home.

Massage Therapy Experience

With a true passion for working with children and families, Theresa became a ceritified infant massage instructor through IAIM in 2004. She has provided infant massage instruction to many families, and has witnessed the overwhelming benefits of infant massage. Because of this, she decided to further her career by becoming a Certified International Instructor Trainer in 2012 in order to share these amazing teachings with others.
She has had the unique experience in her career as an OT and a CIMI of empowering families by providing nurturing touch and developmental therapy, as well as adapting infant massage to medically fragile infants and their families.

Philosophy on Massage Therapy

Combining developmental care and parental education with infant massage has been rewarding and life changing for many of the families that she has been fortunate enough to come into contact with. Theresa is honored to share these teachings with professionals, parents, caregivers and their families in order to help children and families thrive.
